BULLITT SOUNDS v. 1.1  --UPDATED VERSION--

*New version includes sound effect for engine when idle.

This is a mod that will edit the sound effects of your game, San Andreas. 

The sounds that will be replaced are used by the car HOTKNIFE.  For this mod to be completely accurate, seek a Bullitt car mod on the internet.  You may change the name of the car mods .DFF and .TXD files
to HOTKNIFE, and replace the name of the car within the mod's readme.  I will not disclose where I found the Bullitt car mod at this time.


Instructions:

First you will need a tool with which you may edit sounds within the game.  Don't worry, it's an easy method.  The tool, which is NOT mine, can be found at this link:

Follow the tool's instructions.
Select "EXTRACT" under option 2.  
Select the "SFX" method under option 4.  
Choose the file "GENRL" under option 5.  
Click "EXTRACT"

Now, go to the temporary folder where you extracted the sounds.  Once there, you will see "BANK" folders.  
Copy my "bank_69" and "bank_70" folders and paste them under that folder.
Select "YES" when asked if you're sure you want to replace the files.
Now, return to the tool.  
Under option 2, select "IMPORT."
Click "IMPORT" at the bottom.
Once it's finished, the mod has been installed!  Enjoy!

*If you're familiar with the known bugs commonly found with sound mods, you'll notice occasional muting of the engine, 
especially when the radio is on.  Also, when CJ is walking on concrete, his footsteps will be distorted.
Crashes are also occasional.  I experienced one crash in four hours of non-sequential gameplay.
